Turkey Denounces Israeli Strikes, Ceasefire Violations in Gaza
In a message shared on the Turkish social media platform NSosyal, the ministry stated it “strongly condemns the attacks carried out by Israel today against the Gaza Strip and its continued violations of the cease-fire.”
The ministry emphasized that the assaults occur at a moment when Gaza’s peace process is entering a critical stage, warning that these actions jeopardize international initiatives to foster calm and stability in the territory. It added that the incidents underscore Israel’s reluctance for regional peace.
“We reiterate that Israel must be made to comply with all provisions of the Peace Plan adopted by UN Security Council resolutions, foremost the preservation of the cease-fire and the unobstructed delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza,” the statement said.
The ministry also called on the global community to take responsibility in supporting the peace process.
Reports indicate that Israeli operations have resulted in over 524 Palestinian deaths since the cease-fire was implemented in early October, with 37 Palestinians killed in attacks across Gaza in the past 24 hours.
