Iran, US Agree to Another Round of Talks in Pakistan
The planned session will continue the ongoing trilateral diplomatic process involving Iran, the United States, and Pakistan, as discussions move forward in an effort to outline a possible framework aimed at de-escalating regional hostilities.
The decision to extend talks comes after earlier rounds held in Islamabad involving senior representatives from both sides. Those meetings reportedly included participation from high-level Iranian officials such as Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, and security official Ali Bagheri Kani, alongside US representatives including Vice President JD Vance, special envoy Steve Witkoff, and senior adviser Jared Kushner.
According to reports, earlier stages of the negotiations included both indirect communication and direct face-to-face meetings, as well as exchanges of written proposals intended to narrow differences between the parties.
Following those discussions, delegations continued to exchange written texts, suggesting that technical-level engagement remains ongoing even between formal negotiation rounds.
The upcoming session is expected to begin after sunrise, with officials and media teams awaiting further details from inside the venue as diplomatic efforts continue under Pakistan’s mediation.
