MEDIA ADVISORY - Thousands to Rally Across From UN: Stop Executions, Support Democratic Change in Iran
Iranian Americans to Gather as World Leaders Confront an Unresolved Iran Crisis
NEW YORK CITY, NY, UNITED STATES, September 15, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- As world leaders gather during the United Nations General Assembly, thousands of Iranian Americans and supporters of human rights will rally across from the UN on Tuesday, September 22, and Wednesday, September 23, calling for an end to the theocracy and supporting the establishment of a democratic, secular republic in Iran.
The demonstration comes as the regime is severely weakened, the economy is in shambles, and Iranian society is in an explosive stage. Meanwhile, Tehran has sharply escalated domestic repression and political executions. The rally will highlight the role of the Iranian people and their organized Resistance in their struggle for democratic change in achieving a durable resolution to the Iran crisis.
The rally will call for recognition of the National Council of Resistance of Iran’s (NCRI) Provisional Government for a democratic republic based on Maryam Rajavi’s Ten-Point Plan, as the means to achieve peace and freedom. Only the Iranian people and their organized Resistance can effect change in Iran.
Prominent American personalities, human rights activists, and youths will address the rally.
